Education

The UK education sector needs continual investment in new facilities and infrastructure, demanding durable, sustainable, and cost-effective civil engineering solutions. Geosynthetics Limited, the UK’s largest independent geosynthetics supplier, offers specialist, inspired solutions supported by free preliminary calculations and independent technical recommendations.

For the physical infrastructure requirements of the UK education sector, Geosynthetics Limited provides a robust range of civil engineering solutions. Campus projects—including new construction, access route maintenance, and car park development—can utilise key products for site stability and sustainable drainage systems (SuDS).

For ground stabilisation and durable hardstanding, Rhyno® woven geotextiles provide reinforcement and separation beneath roadways and car parks, reducing rutting and extending surface life. Simultaneously, Ekotex® non woven geotextiles are regularly specified for separation, filtration, and drainage within working platforms and drainage systems. These geotextiles are often combined with geogrids like StrataGrid™ or Interlock, which reinforce soil beneath paved and unpaved roads, foundations, and car parks, increasing sub base performance and bearing capacity.

For SUDS-compliant traffic areas, Golpla™ reinforces grass or retains gravel for light vehicle and pedestrian access, offering a sustainable alternative to asphalt. For areas requiring greater durability, TTE™ (Total Traffic Exopave) is a heavy-duty permeable paving system designed to accommodate HGV use on access roads and intensively used car parks. Furthermore, the Roofcell module provides lightweight, high-strength sub-soil drainage and water storage, applicable for paved areas, roadways, or sports fields on campus grounds

Why choose Geosynthetics for your education project?

Maximise Outdoor Learning & Play Space: Our engineered systems transform waterlogged fields, muddy playgrounds, and underused land into valuable, safe spaces for sports, play, and outdoor learning—maximising every square metre for student wellbeing and activity.

Budget-Conscious, Long-Term Value: Educational budgets are under pressure. Our solutions reduce excavation and the need for imported materials, lowering initial costs while providing durable surfaces that significantly cut ongoing maintenance and replacement expenses.

Minimise Term-Time Disruption: Our fast-installation systems are specifically designed for implementation during school holidays, half-terms, or weekends, ensuring minimal disruption and timely facility enhancements.
