Geosynthetics Limited raise over £6,500 for local charity!

For the last 15 years, we have been selecting different charities that are close to the hearts of our team members and raise money for them through our Annual Fundraiser. Some of the previous charities we have supported include; Air Ambulance, Georgie’s Gift, Adapt, Lawrence House and Doorway.

October 31st saw the return of our Annual Hansam Charity Fundraiser for 2025. It was incredible to see the whole team raising money the only way we know how; with plenty of laughs, smiles and the inevitability of someone getting gunged!

This year the team selected Mencap Hinckley as our chosen charity. They have provided support for Mary-Jane’s brother and she was passionate about giving them something back.

The theme this year was things beginning with the letter “M”. We saw a variety of different costumes enter the office; Minions, Maid Marion, Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Marge Simpson, Musketeers, Minnie Mouse and a Midlife Crisis(!) to name just a few. The day was of course filled with a number of exciting games, quizzes and challenges. The day concluded with the famous Hansam tombola and raffle filled with unbelievable prizes donated by local businesses.

£4,500 was raised in total, to which our Chairman Chris Foxton kindly added an extra £2,000, meaning £6,500 was raised for Mencap Hinckley. Huge thank you to everyone involved on the day, Geosynthetics Ltd and Stormwater Management Ltd team members, suppliers’ contributions, and gunged David who made the day so memorable.

We would like to once again thank local businesses and our suppliers for the donations and support for our fundraiser. This help is invaluable in making this day such a success.
