Pollution can be caused by disturbed ground that is vulnerable to water erosion. Silt Stop Premium and High Flow Silt Fences are made of strong, permeable, technical filter fabrics that can be installed as an entrenched vertical barrier. The woven structures have tear-resistant, non-fraying, reinforced edges that are durable and reliable as they are self-supporting between fixing posts. Both products resist ultraviolet degradation, rotting, biological degradation, and naturally encountered acids and alkalis.

Silt Stop Premium is a high-quality woven polypropylene geotextile, made of 100% polypropylene staple fibres, which provides excellent tensile strength and low elongation. The special fibrous weft yarn, combined with the high-quality weave, enhances filtration.

Silt Stop High Flow is a polyethylene product with similar benefits, but is designed to maintain its purpose in areas of high water flow. Both products assist in meeting the requirements of the Environmental Agency’s 2007 Pollution Prevention Guidelines 5 (PPG 5) on “Works and maintenance in or near water”.
