The Golpla™ Pre-Grown units come supplied with healthy grass already established inside each hexagonal void, offering an instantly green aesthetic, and time saving benefits. Exclusive to Geosynthetics Ltd, no other company offers a paver with pre-pressed turf ready to install.

What is Golpla™?

Golpla™ is a Part M and SuDS compliant, permeable grass and gravel paving grid system engineered to reinforce the ground, turning it into a strong, stable surface for walking, cycling, wheelchairs, or driving.

Golpla™ Pre-Grown is a unique system that provides clients with a fully established grass surface which looks great visually and is ready to use in a matter of weeks not months. Encouraging grass growth is essential to the success of a reinforced grass surface.

Golpla™ Pre-Grown solves this by allowing grass to reach a mature stage before being shipped to site. Units can be supplied at any time of the year enabling the installation to be completed even in the winter months when it is too cold for grass seed to germinate. Golpla™ Pre-Grown is delivered to site ready to be installed directly onto the prepared ground. Geosynthetics Ltd can provide sub-base advice to suit the site conditions along with installation guidance.

Golpla™ Pre-Grown Grass Protection Mats

Golpla™ is a versatile paving cell system from Geosynthetics Ltd, designed to create strong, permeable surfaces with either grass or gravel. The interlocking hexagonal grids are made from high-density recycled plastic and are engineered for strength and easy installation. By reinforcing the ground, Golpla™ prevents rutting and gravel migration caused by pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Its 95% open structure allows for excellent grass growth or gravel retention and ensures rapid water infiltration, making it perfect for SuDS-compliant schemes.

For projects requiring an immediate green finish, we offer the Golpla™ Pre-Grown system. It contains 4 types of grass as standard but can be made-to-order with specific varieties to suit any application (terms and conditions apply). Orders for the pre-grown system are processed to synchronise with your site installation schedule, ensuring you receive the right quantities of palletised product ready for immediate laying.

Your Golpla™ Pre-Grown Questions Answered

Golpla™ Pre Grown should be installed with 24 hours during the summer months and maximum 48 hours during cooler months to ensure the grass does not die.

No, provided the Pre-Grown units are delivered direct to site and not stored for extended periods.

We recommend that Pre-Grown is not trafficked for the initial 4 weeks after installation. This allows the root network to establish properly.

To ensure the grass recovers from the transit and installation process we recommend the grass to be watered daily for 2-4 weeks much like the way you would treat a newly laid lawn.

Each unit weighs approximately 5kg

All foundation preparation should be completed prior to delivery of pre-grown units to ensure the units can be installed without delay.
