TTE™ – HGV Grass / Gravel Paving Cell

Total Traffic Exopave (TTE™) is a unique, heavy-duty paving system designed for HGV use. Combining strength and versatility, TTE™ is a permeable solution. The interlocking pavers can withstand weights of up to 60 tonnes and can be filled with either grass or gravel infill. This product is easy to install and offers significant savings over conventional cost systems.

Unlike many of its competitors, Total Traffic Exopave (TTE™) has both high compressive strength and high shear strength. This enables TTE™ to withstand much higher loading, accelerating, braking, and turning forces than standard heavy-duty pavers.

The paver’s textured surface allows for improved grip and user safety.

It is a SuDS compliant, heavy-duty paving system perfect for permanent and overspill coach or HGV parking applications.

A Smarter Alternative to Traditional HGV Hardstanding

TTE™ heavy-duty grass protection mats are designed for projects where heavy vehicle access is required without the cost, drainage challenges or visual impact of concrete or tarmac. By combining a robust, interlocking cellular structure with permeable performance, TTE™ provides a stable surface that supports HGV movements while allowing water to drain naturally through the pavement.

Your TTE™ Questions Answered

TTE™ is engineered to withstand vehicles up to 60 tonnes gross weight, making it suitable for heavy-duty traffic such as HGVs and emergency vehicles when installed with the correct sub-base design.

TTE™ can be filled with gravel, grass, block or brick, depending on the desired finish. Gravel offers a robust, low-maintenance surface, while grass creates a more natural, environmentally sympathetic appearance.

TTE™ uses an interlocking grid system that is relatively quick to install compared to traditional paving. However, correct preparation of the sub-base and drainage layers is essential for performance and longevity.

Maintenance requirements are low. Occasional topping up of infill (grass or gravel) and general surface checks are usually sufficient to keep the system performing effectively over time.

TTE™ can be used on a wide range of ground conditions, including weaker or variable soils, as it helps distribute loads evenly and reduce pressure on the sub-base.
