Rejuvenating Heritage Trails with Geosynthetics Ltd: Discover the innovative approach used to transform Hurst Farm Woodland into a welcoming heritage trail, combining ecosystem preservation and accessibility enhancement through advanced geosynthetic solutions.
Working within the delicate ecological zones of Hurst Farm, the project faced challenges in maintaining environmental integrity while providing suitable access. Geosynthetics Ltd delivered a bespoke solution using Cellweb® TRP and Treetex geotextile, overcoming hurdles such as tree root preservation and sustainable trail construction:
- Innovative Load Distribution: The Cellweb® TRP system prevents soil compaction by distributing load, safeguarding the roots of Hurst Farm’s mature trees without excavation.
- Hydrological Balance Maintenance: Our geosynthetic layers enable natural water flow and oxygen access, essential for maintaining the health of woodland ecosystems.
- Community Engagement in Conservation: The trail supports educational and volunteering activities, fostering a sense of stewardship within the community.
