As a new addition Deanna has already made a huge impact to our team bringing a positive attitude and driven work ethic, we’re looking forward to seeing her future progress in the company.

We asked Deanna some questions to find out a bit more about her.

  1. What previous experience/education do you have?

I have been studying Business Administration for one year at sixth form therefore I have experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.  Before this apprenticeship, I had a part time job at a restaurant where I answered incoming calls and made bookings for customers. After I had taken my GCSE’S I decided to stay on at sixth form. I re-sat my maths exam and alongside this I also took Business Administration level 2 and Psychology. As well as this, I have been studying ‘Business Studies’ for 2 years, this was one of my chosen subjects at GCSE level, which I thoroughly enjoyed and I knew I wanted to progress further in the future within the business industry.

  1. What made you join Geosynthetics?

I decided I wanted to join Geosynthetics because with Geosynthetics being a small company, I feel like this would enable me to progress in the business industry. As well as this, I attended their open day with my school, I really enjoyed this visit because everyone was really friendly and made me feel welcome. I also loved the fact that everyone was supportive of each other and worked as part of a team in order to ensure the success of the business continues.

  1. What do you enjoy the most about what you do?

I really enjoy answering incoming calls and also making tender calls. As well as this, I enjoy talking to new people on the phone, I also thoroughly enjoy doing the administration side of my work, by accessing aCloud and Glenigans- checking on regular updates on projects.  Not only this, but I enjoy building relationships with customers on the phone as this way you can build a professional relationship with customers, then they will value your support and time, which will then ensure that the customers return in the near future.

  1. How would you describe yourself?

I would describe myself as hardworking, punctual and organised. I thrive to make sure every task which has been set for me gets completed on time or possibly earlier then the deadline where possible. As well as this, I enjoy working individually or as part of a team as I really like meeting new people.

  1. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I attend the gym in order to keep fit and healthy. I also like to meet up with my friends often, I also attend the local football matches with my family.

  1. What is your favourite film?

My favourite film is The Holiday.

  1. What is your favourite meal and where is the best place to eat it?

My favourite meal is Chinese, the best place to eat it would be at my home.
