Grass Protection Mesh

Constant use of grassed areas by pedestrians and vehicles can cause irreparable damage to grass roots and create unsightly rutting to the ground.

Geosynthetics Turfmesh is a range of polymer grids with a multitude of uses in the landscaping, public amenity, leisure and educational sectors which provides the ideal solution to parking problems and damage prone grassed areas.

It can be laid directly onto existing grass or prepared soil and then seeded. The most satisfactory results are achieved by installing Turfmesh during the growing season. This allows grass to grow quickly through the mesh filaments which has the effect of protecting and reinforcing the root mass, increasing the longevity of the solution. The protected area will soon resume its natural appearance providing a stable surface.

Turfmesh is available in four grades Turfmesh 1 (light duty) through to Turfmesh 4 (heavy duty). All grades are UV stabilised, resistant to chemicals and biological degradation, providing a hard wearing and long lasting stable surface.

For best results grades 1 and 2 should not be used until the grass has grown through the mesh as the root mass of the grass must interlock with the filaments of the mesh. Grades 3 and 4 can be used immediately after installation.

If required, parking bays can be marked out using Parking Markers which will guide drivers to the right location and ensure that optimum use is made of the parking areas. They are also suitable for indicating the direction of access routes.
